    Gun-Ho Kim, PhD

    Dr. Gun-Ho Kim is Co-Founder and CEO of RecensMedical, a medical device company developing precision tissue cooling technologies to fulfill unmet needs in ophthalmology and dermatology. He graduated from Seoul National University, completed his PhD at the University of Michigan, and is currently Assistant Professor at UNIST, one of the top research institutes in South Korea. Dr. Kim has published seminal work relating to thermoelectric cooling technology, heat transfer in soft materials, and novel cold sensing mechanism, and has multiple patents in the area. He has been recognized with the Merit award by Korea Health Industry Development Institute and Michigan Biomedical Innovation Cup award.

    Jonghwan Baek

    Jonghwan is the Chief Operating Officer of RecensMedical. He has 15 years of quality assurance and regulatory affairs management experience in the world’s top medical device companies such as GE, Samsung and Vatech. He is a qualified internal assessor for Quality Management System (QMS) in FDA QSR (US), ISO 13485 (Europe) and GMP (South Korea). With the completed education on regulatory affairs expert and along with the acquired qualification from Sixsigma GB, he provided consultations on assessment of QA system and on manufacturing process and quality improvement for more than 100 companies.


  • Charles C. Wykoff, MD, PhD

    Dr. Charles C. Wykoff is a board-certified Medical and Surgical Retina Specialist and ophthalmologist with Retina Consultants of Houston. Leading a top international research facility for vitreoretinal diseases, Dr. Wykoff serves as Director of Research at RCH and the Greater Houston Retina Research Foundation (GHRRF). In addition, he serves as the elected Deputy Chair of Ophthalmology for the Blanton Eye Institute, Houston Methodist Hospital. Dr. Wykoff was awarded the American Academy of Ophthalmology Achievement Award in 2015, the American Society of Retina Specialists Honor Award in 2016 and Senior Honor Award in 2018, and was appointed to the OSN Retina 150 in 2016 as an Innovator in Medical and Surgical Retina.
  • Arshad M. Khanani, MD, MA

    Dr. Khanani is a fellowship trained vitreo-retinal specialist and is certified by The American Board of Ophthalmology. He graduated magna cum laude in chemistry from Washington University in St. Louis with a Bachelors and Masters degree. While at Washington University, Dr. Khanani was honored with The Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Award. Dr. Khanani has served as a principal investigator for several clinical trials. His articles have been published in numerous ophthalmology journals. Dr. Khanani has received numerous awards of distinction including The Patients’ Choice Award and The Compassionate Doctor Recognition Award. He has also been consistently named one of America’s Top Ophthalmologists and has also been included in an edition of The Leading Physicians of the World publication.
  • Weonju Lee, MD, PhD

    Dr. Lee is a board-certified dermatologist and Professor of dermatology at Kyungpook National University Hospital. He is a specialist for cosmetic dermatology. Leading a research for acne and rosacea, he serves as academic director for the Korean Acne and Rosacea Society. In addition, he serves as secretary for the Korean Society for Medical Cosmetics and as president of Korean Society for Cutaneous Mycology. He was awarded the Korean Society for Investigative Dermatology Best Poster Award in 2006 and 2007, the Korean Dermatological Association Achievement Award in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014, the Korean Society for Medical Mycolosy Achievement Award in 2007, 2008, 2014, 2015 and 2016, World Congress of Dermatology Featured Poster Award in 2015, the Korean Acne and Rosacea Society Achievement Award in 2015 and 2018, the Korean Society for Investigative Dermatology Uam Award in 2016, and the Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies Achievement Award in 2016, the Korean Dermatological Association Donga Award in 2017.
  • Nark-Kyoung Rho, MD

    Dr. Rho, a board-certified dermatologist based in Seoul, is the medical director at Leaders Aesthetic & Cosmetic Surgery Center, and clinical professor of the School of Medicine, Sungkyunkwan University, Seoul, Korea. He is an academy board of the Association of the Korean Dermatologists and the Korean Society for Anti-aging Dermatology. Dr. Rho’s clinical practice is devoted to cosmetic dermatologic surgery, treatment of acne, and anti-aging procedures such as botulinum toxins, injectable fillers, thread lifting, and energy-based devices. His research interests further include facial analysis, procedural anatomy, tissue optics and laser-tissue interaction, photodynamic therapy, and cryodermatology. He has produced numerous articles on these topics that have seen print in prestigious peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Rho has been and is an invited speaker at both national and international medical conferences.

    Patent Attorney, Venture Capitalist
    Sung-Ho Park is outside director of RecensMedical and CEO of Kground, IP specialized Investment Company. Mr. Park served as Korea patent attorney in Law firm, in-house patent attorney in LG Electronics and IP division head in Ideabridge asset management company. Mr. Park was appointed board member of Korea Association of Technology Holdings in 2016 and board of director of Korean Patent Attorney Association in 2017.
